How to Apply

Our process is simple, personal, and designed to move quickly

1

Submit an Application

Fill out our online intake form with basic information about your child, their diagnosis, and their mobility needs. It takes about 15 minutes. A parent, guardian, or therapist can apply.

2

Clinical Assessment

We'll request a brief letter from your child's physical therapist, occupational therapist, or physician confirming the need for adaptive equipment and recommending a type of bike.

3

Equipment Matching

Our team works with certified adaptive technology specialists to identify the best equipment for your child. We consider their diagnosis, size, strength, goals, and growth potential.

4

Funding & Fitting

Once matched, we fund the equipment, fully or with significant assistance based on family need. The bike is professionally fitted to your child, with adjustments as they grow.

5

Ride Day!

Your child receives their bike. We provide a brief orientation and riding tips. Then it's time to ride! We follow up at 30, 90, and 180 days to make sure everything is working perfectly.

Eligibility

We serve children and teens (ages 2 to 18) who have a physical, neurological, or developmental disability that prevents them from safely using a standard bicycle.

Common qualifying conditions include:

  • Cerebral palsy
  • Spina bifida
  • Muscular dystrophy
  • Down syndrome
  • Autism spectrum disorder (with motor challenges)
  • Spinal cord injuries
  • Amputation or limb differences
  • Traumatic brain injury
  • Visual impairment (tandem bikes)
  • Other conditions affecting mobility or balance

Financial need is a factor but not a barrier. We use a sliding scale and work with every family. No child is turned away solely because of income.
